Pirates win on Jason Bay Homer in the 9th

The Pittsburgh Pirates took 2 out of 3 in the series with the Washington Nationals, today they won 3-2 on a solo homer by Jason Bay(11) in the 9th inning . Ian Snell pitched a great game as usual after giving up a 2-run homer in the first inning to Dmitri Youung. Snell went 7 innings allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 3 BB's, while striking out 7 batters. His ERA is now 2.91. Matt Capps(3-2) pitched the 8th and 9th innings and got the win. Chad Cordero(1-1) picked up the loss for Washington. Freddy Sanchez hit his first home-run of the season in the 3rd inning, a two run shot. The Pirates are now 26-34 and in 4th place in the Central, 7 games back of Milwaukee. The Pirates are now 15-15 on the road.
